Apple presents watchOS 4

Apple presented watchOS 4 at its own developer conference. The new version of the operating system for Apple’s smartwatch includes information on cards that comes from digital assistant Siri.

Siri has its own watchface on watchOS 4 and a tap on the top corner brings up a new interface, containing cards from Siri containing information such as the weather and the calendar. In addition, there are watch faces of Toy Story figures and a ‘kaleidoscope’ watch face.

The interface for Activities and Workouts have also been updated and get a new interface. This makes it easier to do several workouts in succession. In addition, users can synchronize information with gym equipment with support for NFC. According to Apple, 80 percent of gym equipment worldwide can communicate with the Watch via NFC.

In addition, it will be possible to link certain workouts to certain playlists, so that music starts playing immediately when users start a workout. Apple will release watchOS 4 later this year for all existing models of the smartwatch.
