Images and details of Apple’s Powerbeats4 have emerged. Just like the Pro version, the bluetooth earphones would get an H1 chip for use with Siri. The design has been slightly modified and the battery life would have been improved.

From the images that WinFuture has put online, it can be concluded that the cable connecting the two earphones has been slightly modified. The cable holder now goes behind the ear; with the Powerbeats3, the cable runs through the front. The new model again has a housing that can withstand water, and is aimed at athletes.

Apple would provide the Powerbeats4 with the H1 chip, which is also in the Powerbeats Pro and the second-generation AirPods. The Powerbeats3 still contained the W1 chip. The H1 chip allows the earbuds to connect to devices faster and brings support for the ‘Hey Siri’ command. Charging is via a Lightning connection and five minutes of charging would be good for an hour of music listening.

According to WinFuture, Apple promises the same “powerful and balanced sound” with the Powerbeats4 as with the Powerbeats Pro. The battery life would be fifteen hours, with the Powerbeats3 that is twelve hours. It is not yet clear when the new ears will come out. Apple would again ask 200 euros for the sports earphones. The current version is for sale for about 140 euros, but was also introduced in 2016 for 200 euros.
