Apple Music app beta is available for Android
Apple has put a beta version of its Music app in the Google Play Store. The functionality of the app is similar to the iOS version, but the design has been modified to be more in line with Google’s operating system.
Apple has already announced that there would be an Android version of Apple Music. Now action has been taken and Android users can download the app. It is still in beta, with version number 0.9, but the app seems to be quite complete other than the lack of music videos.
Apple does say that the registration process in the Android app will be improved. It is also not yet possible to register for a family subscription or perform subscription upgrades via the app, for which a Mac or iOS device is required. Support for music videos will follow soon, according to Apple.
With the app you can use Apple’s paid music service. New members can try the service for free for three months. It is Apple’s second Android app, Move to iOS previously appeared in the Play Store.
