Apple may release a new battery case for iPhone 11 phones
Apple may release a new Smart Battery Case for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The website 9to5Mac has found an image of such a battery cover in code of the iOS version 13.2 released on Monday.
According to 9to5Mac, the release of iOS 13.2 confirms that there is a good chance that Apple will eventually release an official Smart Battery Case for the latest iPhones. The image closely resembles the battery covers that Apple released earlier, with the main difference being a larger, square hole for the camera island of the iPhone 11 devices. It is still unknown whether and if so when the company from Cupertino will release new battery covers. It is also still unclear to what extent the battery life can be increased if these covers are used.
At the beginning of this year, Apple released similar battery covers for the iPhones from 2018, namely the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR. Since those covers then became available for the three released models, it is obvious that Apple will also release any new battery covers for the three latest iPhones.
Apple released iOS version 13.2 on Monday, which, among other things, adds compatibility for the new Airpods Pro earplugs. With this new version, users will also have access to the Deep Fusion camera function, which was previously in the beta of iOS 13.2. This mode is not a night mode, but it changes the way the iPhone 11 phones take photos in moderate lighting conditions. Incidentally, 9to5Mac has also found indications in code from iOS 13.2 that Apple will release a device called AirTag, which will allow users to track personal items.
