Apple may add feature to livestream iPhone screenshots
Apple may add a feature to livestream screenshots from iOS devices. The latest beta has a ‘broadcast’ button for screen recordings, but it doesn’t do anything yet. Apple has not yet explained what the button is for.
In iOS 11, Apple already added a screen recording function. These end up in the camera roll of the device by default. In the latest beta of the operating system, a button labeled ‘start broadcast’ has been added, but it does exactly the same as the record button.
The Next Web thinks other apps could use the button to livestream screenshots instantly. Exactly how that should work in the final version of iOS 11 is not clear.
Apple released the second public beta of iOS 11 on Wednesday, alongside new betas for watchOS, tvOS, and macOS High Sierra. The release of the new operating systems will take place in the fall, but it is still unknown when exactly that will be.
