Apple has released the first public beta of iOS 14 for users who already want to test the upcoming version of the operating system. iPadOS 14 and tvOS 14 are now also available for public testing.

By enrolling in Apple’s Beta Software Program, you can download the public betas of iOS 14, iPadOS 14, and tvOS 14. The public test versions of macOS 11 Big Sur and watchOS 7 are not yet usable. Apple warns that software bugs may still exist and recommends that users back up their systems before entering the public beta.

The test version that is available to everyone follows iOS 14 beta 2 for developers, which was released earlier this week. The final release version is expected in the fall of 2020. With iOS 14, Apple offers, among other things, widgets for its operating system, the possibility to reorganize home screens, and the choice of own defaults for browser and mail.
