Apple introduces magnetic power bank for iPhone 12

Apple has announced its own power bank for the iPhone 12 series. The MagSafe Battery Pack clips onto the back of the iPhone 12 via the MagSafe system to charge the phone.

The MagSafe Battery Pack is available on the website from Apple itself for the iPhone 12, the iPhone 12 mini, the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone Pro Max. The MagSafe Battery Pack can charge a phone at 5W. A Lightning cable is required to charge the power bank itself.

It’s not the first iPhone accessory that Apple sells for the iPhone that uses the magnetic click system. There are also a number of cases, card holders and chargers that can be connected to Apple’s phones in this way.

The power bank costs 109 euros and, in addition to an iPhone 12, users also need iOS 14.7 or newer to use the MagSafe Battery Pack. The power bank comes without a charger or cable.
