Apex Legends will get a temporary solo mode starting next week
Respawn comes with a solo mode for Apex Legends. According to the studio, the mode will be added temporarily during the Iron Crown Collection Event. The mode will be available from August 13 to 27. Players have been asking for such a mode for a long time.
The creators of Apex Legends announce solo mode on Twitter. They don’t give a lot of details other than the time frame of the temporary mode. The mode is presumably the same as the regular game mode in which teams of three players compete against each other, with the difference that everyone plays for themselves.
It is notable that Respawn introduces the solo mode as a temporary feature. From the players there has been a demand for such a mode for some time, or a possibility to play with duos. The ability to play alone or with one teammate is standard in most battleroyale games.
Respawn may use the temporary period as a test and then return to solo mode. However, the studio has not disclosed anything about it. In February, clues were already found in the game’s code indicating the presence of solo and duo modes, but they have never been available.
