AOC Releases 27″ QHD Monitor with 240Hz TN Panel
AOC has released a 27″ monitor that combines a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels with a refresh rate of 240Hz. The monitor uses a tn panel with a response time of 0.5ms.
The tn panel in the Agon AG273QZ monitor has a maximum brightness of 400cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. The screen has a DisplayHDR 400 certificate and supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. That has been the name of FreeSync 2 HDR since the beginning of this year. The FreeSync range is from 48 to 240Hz.
According to AnandTech, this is a ‘new generation’ tn panel with a larger color range. The monitor could display 126.4 percent of the sRGB color space and 93.7 percent of the Adobe RGB color space. The horizontal and vertical viewing angles are 170 and 160 degrees.
The AOC Agon AG273QZ has two displayport 1.4 connections, a d-sub connector and two hdmi 2.0 connections. The monitor also functions as a USB hub with four USB 3.0 connections. There are two built-in speakers and the screen has a coat rack to hang up headphones.
AOC provides the monitor with a height-adjustable stand. The angle of the screen can also be adjusted and the entire screen can be tilted in portrait mode. The monitor is equipped with RGB LEDs on the back. In the Pricewatch, the AG273QZ is available at two stores for an amount around 800 euros, but the screen is not yet available. The monitor should be released later this month.
There are not many monitors on the market that combine a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels with a 240Hz panel. HP and Lenovo released monitors last year with the same features, also with tn panels. Eve Devices wants to make a comparable monitor with an IPS panel, but it won’t be released until the end of this year.
