Display manufacturer AOC is recalling two of its monitors with external power supplies, due to the risk of electric shock. These are the PDS241 and PDS271, which have been on sale since May and June.

According to AOC, a small number of adapters do not meet the requirements for minimum distances between internal components. The risk of electric shock cannot therefore be completely excluded. The manufacturer requests that customers stop using the PDS241 and PDS271 monitors and unplug them.

AOC will provide owners of the monitors with a replacement copy. No website has yet been set up where customers can go, the manufacturer only mentions the recall in a press release via e-mail. In it, the company writes that it is currently in talks with distributors to ensure that users can easily return their monitor and receive a new one.

The AOC PDS241 has been in the Pricewatch since June 13. The PDS271 has been available at online stores since May 20.
