AOC has launched the Agon AG251FZ. The monitor for gamers has a TN panel and a refresh rate of 240Hz. The suggested retail price of the 24.5″ monitor is 499 euros.

With its appearance, the monitor came on the market a little later than AOC announced at the end of November last year. According to that announcement, the AG251FZ would be released in January. The monitor is equipped with a tn panel that offers a refresh rate of 240 images per second, provided the user uses an HDMI 2.0 or Displayport 1.2 connection.

It is a screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and support for adaptive-sync and freesync. The response time is 1ms, the contrast ratio is 1000:1 and the maximum brightness is 400cd/m2. The screen can be connected with a VGA connection, DVI, HDMI or Displayport and there are four USB 3.0 ports.

The user can put the screen in landscape or portrait mode and rotate, tilt and adjust the height by 130mm. The housing contains a set of 3W speakers and the screen can be mounted on the wall with a 100×100 Vesa standard. More and more manufacturers are including a 240Hz model in their range, such as BenQ, Asus and Acer
