AOC introduces 27″ monitor with Nvidia G-Sync and variant with AMD FreeSync 2 HDR
AOC has announced two new monitors in the AGON 3 series. These are 27″ models, one of which has a 165Hz panel and G-Sync, while the other combines a 144Hz panel with FreeSync 2.
Both monitors in the gamer-oriented AGON series have a response time of 1ms and a curvature of 1800R. The resolution is 2560×1440 pixels for both and the maximum brightness is 400cd/m². Both screens are 110 mm adjustable in height and can be turned and tilted on their foot.
The version with Nvidia G-Sync support has AG273QCG as the model number. It offers a tn panel with a refresh rate of 165Hz. The monitor has connections for displayport 1.2, hdmi 1.4 and usb 3.1 gen1. AOC has integrated two 2W speakers. Incidentally, AOC also mentions support for FreeSync with this model. Last week, Nvidia announced that it would support VESA’s Adaptive Sync, or FreeSync.
The AG273QCX stands out with a slightly different foot, without red accents. There is support for FreeSync 2 and the monitor with a VA panel is certified according to the HDR standard DisplayHDR 400 from VESA. The connections are also different: this model has VGA, HDMI 2.0, displayport 1.2 and four USB 3.0 ports. In addition, two 5W speakers are present, which, by the way, support dts just like with the AG273QCG.
The AOC AG273QCG and AG273QCX are available from this month for 799 and 699 euros respectively.
