AOC introduces 24.5″ gaming monitor with large FreeSync range for 179 euros

AOC has announced the G2590VXQ, a 24.5″ monitor with a tn panel, a 1080p resolution and support for FreeSync. The gaming monitor, which also features stereo speakers, should hit the market in January for $179.

The monitor has a maximum refresh rate of 75 Hz and the FreeSync range is between 30 and 75 Hz. This range is relatively large for a budget monitor. Because FreeSync is already supported from 30Hz, tearing should not be visible even at these relatively lower frame rates.

AOC also markets two more expensive monitors from the same G90 series. The G2790PX will be available this month and is a 27″ monitor with the FreeSync range from 30 to 144Hz. The latter also applies to the G2590PX, although it has a smaller diagonal at 24.5″. The G2590PX should be released in February for a suggested retail price of 279 euros. The G2790PX should cost 349 euros.

According to AOC, the three monitors have a borderless design and have, for example, a Low Input Lag Mode and flicker-free technology. In addition, all monitors have stereo speakers and a gray-to-gray response time of 1ms. Only the two more expensive screens have an ergonomic base.
