Anonymous has, as promised, taken a jihad website offline. It concerns the French site Ansar Al Haqq. The loose hacker collective is thus responding to the terrorist attack on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo.

Taking Ansar Al Haqq offline due to a ddos attack was reported on Anonymous’ Twitter account. At the time of writing, the front page of the website is accessible, although most other pages are still inaccessible. Ansar Al Haqq is a French-language website dedicated to jihad.

Anonymous fulfills its earlier promise with the attack. The hacker collective said it would target jihad websites in retaliation for the attack on the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo last Wednesday. A total of 12 people were killed. Ansar Al Haqq thus seems to be the first ‘victim’. Anonymous has promised to be big with its attacks on websites.
