Annapurna showcases rock opera platformer The Artful Escape

Developer Beethoven & Dinosaur and publisher Annapurna Interactive show a gameplay video of The Artful Escape. The artsy platformer is about a young guitar player who goes on a ‘cosmic journey’ to shape his stage persona.

In The Artful Escape, players take on the role of young guitar talent Francis Vendetti. He is the nephew of the fictional, legendary folk icon Johnson Vendetti. In the game, Francis finds himself in surreal environments, where he can influence the ‘psychedelic multidimensional’ game world by jamming on his guitar.

The makers call the game a mix of rock opera, adventure games and guitar solos. The Artful Escape is coming ‘soon’ to Xbox One, PC and Apple Arcade. When the game will be released and at what price has not yet been announced. The PC version is on Steam.
