Annapurna Interactive announces game Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth
Developer Annapurna Interactive has announced the video game Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth. The game must be released for ‘console and PC’. No release date has been announced yet.
Blade Runner 2033 is not surprisingly set in the year 2033, between the events of the original film and the sequel Blade Runner 2049. In the first trailer, the developer probably shows the main character of the game. He is a so-called blade runner, someone who hunts replicants, like the main characters from the two Blade Runner films. The story takes place shortly after the Black Out. During this event, all data on replicants was erased, which had disastrous consequences for humanity.
The American Annapurna Interactive is originally a publisher, but Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth will be the first game also developed by this company. The game will be the first new video game within the Blade Runner universe since the 1997 game Blade Runner, a remaster of which was released last year. Annapurna is also the publisher of Stray and Outer Wilds.
