Anker introduces hybrid robot vacuum cleaner with laser mapping and voice control
Anker Innovations will release its RoboVac L70 Hybrid in the Benelux in the autumn for a suggested retail price of 499 euros. The device is a robot vacuum cleaner and mopping robot in one, and can be controlled by voice via the Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.
According to the Chinese manufacturer, the RoboVac L70 Hybrid is the first RoboVac to use Laser SLAM technology, which stands for Simultaneous Localization And Mapping. This allows the vacuum cleaner to map a room in detail and allows the user to mark zones with commands such as ‘no entry’, ‘clean with extra care’ and ‘no mopping’.
The Recharge & Resume functionality ensures that the RoboVac automatically returns to the charging station for charging. After that, the device resumes its cleaning activities from where it left off. According to Anker Innovations, the battery lasts up to 150 minutes. The RoboVac L70 also has a washable E12 filter and the suction power is indicated by the manufacturer as ‘2200 pascal’.
The device can be operated with the supplied remote control or via the EufyHome app for Android and iOS. That app can connect to the Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, so that the user can also control the robot vacuum cleaner and mop robot via voice. The EufyHome app offers a programmable time schedule and a ‘find my robot’ button to locate the robot vacuum in the house.
The RoboVac L70 will be available in the autumn, in white, and will have a suggested retail price of 499 euros.
