Android version The Witcher 3 card game Gwent will be released on March 24 24
The Android version of Gwent, the card game from The Witcher 3, will be released on March 24. The version for Android follows about five months after the arrival of the iOS version. The card game is free to play and offers in-game purchases.
Developer CD Projekt Red has put a trailer online with a reference to the release date. Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is available on the Google Play Store and it is possible to pre-register to be notified when the app is available.
The card game was initially released for PC and consoles, but the developer decided at the end of last year to discontinue the console versions, in order to fully focus on the mobile versions and the PC variant. The iOS version of the game was released at the end of October last year.
Gwent started out as a minigame in The Witcher 3. In that game, it’s a minigame where players collect cards and can play against NPCs to collect even more cards. Due to Gwent’s popularity, a standalone version was created in which players can compete against each other using cards.
