Android apps come to Windows 11 via Amazon Appstore

Windows 11 will be able to run Android apps. Users will be able to download it from the Amazon Appstore, which is integrated into the Microsoft Store. The apps run on Windows using Intel Bridge technology, Microsoft says.

Microsoft announced support for Android apps during the Windows 11 launch . The maker of the operating system shows that apps such as TikTok and Instagram therefore work on computers with Windows 11. The apps run in windows and can be placed on the taskbar.

Microsoft has not yet provided any clarity about the technical operation. In the presentation, Microsoft mentions that Intel Bridge technology is used for it. Whether that means the Android apps will only work on Intel systems is not yet clear.
