Android 5.0 update coming for OnePlus One

The Android 5.0 update for the OnePlus One has been released. In addition to the new Android version, CyanogenMod 12 also includes a modified email client, in which users can, among other things, set the color in which the notification LED should flash when an email arrives.

Also, with the new email client, based on Boxer, it is possible to configure what the client does when you swipe left or right in a message. The update is coming over-the-air to all OnePlus One users who now have CyanogenMod 11S running, Cyanogen says.

It is the first time that Cyanogen has released an update for this device that brings it to a new Android version. The updates so far have been minor changes. Meanwhile, OnePlus itself has made its own variant of Android for the One, OxygenOS. Users have to install it via the recovery and it does not automatically come in as an update. It is obvious that OnePlus will equip its future models with its own Android variant.
