AMD to announce Radeon Pro W6800 and W6600 graphics cards next week
AMD has sent out an invitation to present ‘something big’ on Tuesday, June 8. A teaser and the URL show that it concerns two Radeon Pro video cards for workstations: the Radeon Pro W6800 and W6600
The invitation contains a video showing a video card with six Mini Displayport connections. That’s a common configuration for Radeon Pro graphics cards. Furthermore, the design of the card shown resembles previously leaked photos of a Radeon Pro card with a Navi 21 GPU, notes VideoCardz.
The sent email also contains a URL with added utm_campaign=2021-06-03-consumer-radeon-pro-w6800-w6600-pre-announce, with which AMD has already revealed what the announcement is about.
Judging by the naming, it seems to be expected that the W6800 will get a Navi 21 GPU and the W6600 a Navi 23 GPU. The latter has so far only been used for the Radeon RX 6600M GPU in laptops, an RX 6600 video card for desktops is not yet available. Further specifications of the Radeon Pro cards are not yet known. The Radeon Pro W6800 may get 32GB of GDDR6 memory.
