AMD releases Radeon RX 6950 XT, RX 6750 XT and RX 6650 XT with faster memory
AMD releases three new desktop graphics cards in the Radeon RX 6000 series. The Radeon RX 6950 XT, RX 6750 XT and RX 6650 XT have faster memory modules and higher clock speeds than their predecessors. The video cards will be available on Tuesday afternoon.
AMD provides the three cards with the same chips as their predecessors: the RX 6900 XT, RX 6700 XT and RX 6600 XT. This gives the cards the same number of cores and the same amount of GDDR6 memory. However, the memory in the new cards achieves higher speeds. The GPUs themselves are also clocked higher. With these changes, the cards each also get a higher total graphics power.
The AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT and Radeon RX 6750 XT will be available alongside the RX 6900 XT and RX 6700 XT. However, the RX 6650 XT completely succeeds the RX 6600 XT. The latter will be withdrawn from sale as soon as the existing stocks are used up.

The Radeon RX 6950 XT is AMD’s new flagship GPU. Just like the RX 6900 XT, it has 5120 stream processors and 16GB GDDR6 memory. However, the memory speed is 18Gbit/s instead of 16Gbit/s. The boost clock is 60MHz higher, at 2310MHz. The tgp is also 35W higher than before and thus amounts to 335W. The RX 6950 XT has to compete with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3090 and RTX 3090 Ti.
The Radeon RX 6750 XT again gets 2560 stream processors and 12GB GDDR6 memory, but here too the memory offers speeds of 18Gbit/s. The game and boost clocks are also a bit higher and the tgp has been increased from 230 to 250W. The RX 6750 XT has to compete with Nvidia’s RTX 3070. In addition, the RX 6650 XT will receive 2048 stream processors, 8GB GDDR6 memory at 17.5Gbit/s and a tgp of 180W. AMD pits this card against Nvidia’s RTX 3060.
The Radeon RX 6950 XT, RX 6750 XT and RX 6650 XT have suggested retail prices of 1229, 619 and 449 euros, according to AMD. These prices are higher than the suggested retail prices that their predecessors had at release, although these are no longer current either. Due to exchange rate fluctuations of the euro, these cards are now more expensive. At release, for example, the Radeon RX 6900 XT had a suggested retail price of 1000 euros, but at the time of writing that card costs 1163 euros on the AMD website.
