AMD has released the specifications of its new top video card with ‘Fiji’ GPU. The video card was announced at E3 on Tuesday, but not all specifications were announced yet.

Like Tonga, ‘Fiji’ uses the third-generation gcn architecture, also known as ‘gcn 1.2’. The new GPU has 4096 stream processors at a clock speed of 1050MHz and has 4GB HBM memory clocked at 500MHz. Despite the low clock speed, the working memory provides a bandwidth of 512GB/s, thanks to the 4096-bit bus, which is made possible by the HBM memory.

The power supply is via two eight-pin connections, although the video card should not consume more than 275 watts under normal circumstances. To keep the GPU and the HBM memory, which is mounted on the same interposer as the GPU, at the right temperature, there is standard water cooling with a 120mm radiator.

The Fury X is equipped with three displayport 1.2 connections and an HDMI 1.4 connection. Support for HDMI 2.0 is not present, AMD previously reported. The Fury X will be available from June 24, for a price of $ 649, which converted and including VAT will come out at about seven hundred euros.
