AMD Radeon RX 590 graphics cards coming November 15
Video cards with the AMD Radeon RX 590 GPU will be released on November 15, VideoCardz reports, among others. The website has already published several images of RX 590 cards from different manufacturers. The RX 590 has a 12nm GPU.
VideoCardz mentions the date in a post about the Sapphire Radeon RX 590 Nitro+. That is a version with a hefty cooler and a backplate. According to VideoCardz, manufacturers choose to equip their RX 590 video cards with their best cooling solutions. Asus, for example, is launching a model in its RoG Strix series, and previously there were photos of a PowerColor variant with a cooler that takes up three slots.
Previously leaked information has shown that the RX 590 video cards will be equipped with a Polaris 30 GPU. That is a refresh of the Polaris 20 GPU on the RX 580 video cards. The new GPU has 2304 stream processors just like its predecessor, but is made at 12 instead of 14 nm. The clock speeds of the RX 590 are presumably higher than those of the RX 580.
It is not yet known what the new video cards will cost. There seem to be only versions with 8GB gddr5 memory. RX 580 variants with that amount of memory and comparable coolers currently cost between 250 and 300 euros.
