AMD introduces Radeon SSDs

AMD has presented three new SSDs for gamers. AMD previously released RAM under its own name and SSDs have now been added. The SSDs are built by OCZ and must not only be fast, but also reliable, as evidenced by the four-year warranty that AMD offers.

AMD’s three new SSDs use an OCZ-developed Barefoot 3 M00 controller and Toshiba’s second-generation 19nm NAND. This makes AMD’s SSDs look like a combination of OCZ’s Vector 150 SSDs and the recently introduced Arc100 series. According to AMD, the R7 SSDs can handle 30GB of writes per day for four years without any problem.
