AMD introduces Radeon memory

AMD has quietly expanded its portfolio with DDR3 memory. The chip manufacturer carries a Radeon line of working memory, with the memory available in three variants. The Entertainment series from the Radeon line is already on sale in Japan.

AMD has a section on its website, AMD Memory, called in life. The Radeon line is available in the Entertainment series, which should serve as an all-round memory. The ddr3 bars are 2GB in size and the memory is clocked at 1333MHz, with latencies of 9-9-9. The modules require a supply voltage of 1.5V and are 30 millimeters high.

The UltraPro Gaming series should appeal to the gamer and would consist of hand-selected parts. The memory is clocked at 1600MHz, but has a somewhat disappointing specification in terms of latencies; those amount to 11-11-11. No clock speeds or latencies are known yet for the Enterprise series. AMD has also not yet issued a press release announcing that it will sell the memory.

However, the Entertainment series is already available in Japanese stores and costs about 14 euros there. Who produces the memory for AMD is not known; however, the AMD logo is on the individual chips. How AMD plans to profit from mainstream memory sales is also unknown; the profits of various memory manufacturers are under pressure.
