AMD comes with RX 6900 XT Liquid Edition with PhD water cooler and faster memory
AMD announces a water-cooled version of its Radeon RX 6900 XT. This Liquid Edition is comparable in specifications to the regular RX 6900 XT, but has faster memory and a higher total board power .
AMD has not yet published a product page of the Radeon RX 6900 XT Liquid Edition at the time of writing. The video card has already appeared in pre-built systems at various retailers in the US, Japan and the UK, VideoCardz notes . The video card has an integrated AIO water cooler with a 120mm radiator and a single fan supplied. Web shops show, among other things, specifications of the video card, which show that AMD provides the gpu with a total board power of 330W. The tbp of the regular RX 6900 XT is 300W.
Furthermore, the water-cooled video card gets 16GB of GDDR6 memory, just like the RX 6900 XT, RX 6800 XT and RX 6800. The memory speed is higher with the Liquid Edition; according to a Japanese retailer, the GPU will have a memory bandwidth of 576GB/s, with a 256bit memory bus. That equates to a memory speed of 18 Gbit/s. The video card again has 128MB of Infinity Cache.
The clock speeds of the RX 6900 XT Liquid Edition are also slightly higher. The game clock is 2250MHz. With the RX 6900 XT, that is 2015MHz. The maximum boost clock is also about 8 percent higher.
There are no recommended retail prices for the RX 6900 XT Liquid Edition. It is also unknown whether the video card will also be available separately. Currently, retailers only sell the video card in OEM prebuilt computers. The arrival of this video card was already expected. Rumors have been circulating for some time about a water-cooled RX 6900 XT. Recently, the video card already appeared in a pre-built computer from a Chinese OEM.
