AMD announces Radeon PRO W7500 and W7600 graphics cards for workstations
AMD announces two new Radeon PRO video cards for workstations. The W7600 and W7500 are both based on the RDNA 3 architecture and have 8GB of GDDR6 memory. The W7600 has a suggested retail price of $599, while the W7500 will be available for $429.
AMD introduces the Radeon PRO W7500 and W7600 for midrange workstations, the company reports in a press release. Both video cards will have a Navi 33 GPU, just like the Radeon RX 7600 for consumers. In addition, the W7600 has a fully enabled GPU with 32 compute units and a boost clock of 2.43GHz. The W7500 has 28 CUs, which reach a maximum of 1.70GHz. The GPUs are produced by TSMC on its 6nm process. The higher positioned Navi 31 and 32 GPUs are made on 5nm.
Both video cards also have 8GB of GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit memory bus. The video cards also have 32MB Infinity Cache. Unlike the Navi 31 and 32 GPUs, this extra cache is not on separate chiplets, but integrated into the GPU itself. The W7600 has a TBP of 130W and has a single 6-pin connection for power supply. The W7500 consumes 75W and is therefore fully powered via a PCIe x16 slot.
Furthermore, the W7600 and W7500 both have a single slot design. The video cards have four DisplayPort connections. The cards also have a blower cooler with a single fan. AMD will release the video cards for individual sales this quarter. Later this year they will also appear in pre-built workstations from OEMs.
