Amazon’s Fallout television series will be released next year. The company confirmed this on social media. The series should be available to stream on Prime Video, Amazon’s streaming service, from Friday, April 12, 2024.

Amazon announces the release date of his upcoming TV series in the context of Fallout Day on October 23. On that date, the fictional nuclear war that laid the groundwork for the Fallout franchise began. According to Amazon, the TV series tells an entirely new story set in a future, post-apocalyptic version of Los Angeles. The series’ story will be an official addition to the existing Fallout canon, writes The Verge based on a press release. It is not known how many episodes the series will have.

Fallout developer Bethesda and Amazon announced in 2020 that they were working on a live-action series in the Fallout universe. Few concrete details are known about the series so far. It is clear that it is made by Amazon Studios and Kilter Films. Fallout developer Bethesda is also contributing to the series; game director Todd Howard, for example, is executive producer of the series. The show is written by writers from Westworld and Silicon Valley, among others.
