Amazon has released a Prime Video app in the Microsoft Store. Streaming service members can stream videos through the software, or download them for offline viewing on a Windows 10 device. Watching offline was previously not possible on PCs.

When downloading movies and series in the app, users can choose from three quality options: Good, Better and Best. What resolutions the files have is not stated. According to The Verge, a 52-minute episode of Tales from the Loop on the highest quality takes up 2.74GB of space.

According to an Amazon press release, stream quality within the app is “equivalent to the current experience on the Prime Video website.” The Verge reports that streams through the apps have up to 720p resolution, as do streams viewed through Prime Video’s iPad app.

Amazon Prime Video for Windows is available in the Microsoft Store. The app is free to download, but a Prime Video subscription is required to use it. The software works on PCs, laptops and tablets with Windows 10.
