Amazon releases new high-end Kindle

Amazon plans to unveil a new version of its Kindle e-reader next week. However, more details have not yet been announced, other than that the new model should have high-end specifications.

CEO Jeff Bezos announces the news via a message on his own Twitter page. Next week an event is planned to announce a new version of the Kindle, although it is not clear whether it will also be shipped directly to customers. This is the eighth generation of the popular digital book reader.

However, the specifications of the new Kindle have not yet been announced; Bezos didn’t say anything about that, so we’ll probably have to wait until next week. Amazon released a new version of its Kindle Paperwhite last year, which has, among other things, a resolution that is twice as high as the previous version.
