Alphacool announces Apex Stealth fans with new technology
Alphacool has announced the Apex Stealth fans. The fans use a design where the actual fan and motor are ‘separate’ from the metal frame. This should make the fans extra quiet.
The fan blades, bearings and motor are installed in the Apex Stealth fans clamped between the two metal frames, with a rubber o-ring preventing direct contact between these moving parts and the frame. According to Alphacool, this leads to a noise production of up to 24.6dBA for the regular version and up to 40.2dBA for the Power variant. Thanks to this technology, for which Alphacool has applied for a patent but has not yet received it, it is said to be the quietest fan on the market. Igor’s LAB agrees with this claim in a review.
Both the Apex Stealth and the Apex Stealth Power fans have dimensions of 120x120x25mm. The quieter variant has a speed of between 400 and 2000rpm, while the Power version supports rotation speeds between 400 and 3000rpm.
Alphacool announced the fans during Computex 2023 and has now made the product available for preorder. Both variants cost 30 euros and are according to the Online store from Alphacool available within eleven to twelve weeks. The German company also delivers in the Benelux, although it is not clear what the delivery time is in that case.
