Alleged specifications of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 appear online

The specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 may have appeared online. This shows that the device will have different screen resolutions and a new SoC compared to its predecessor, but the same cameras and battery. Photos of a prototype of the foldable have also appeared.

SmartPrix claims got my hands on the full specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6. According to the site, the foldable will have a 7.6″ AMOLED screen on the inside with a resolution of 2160×1856 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Its predecessor had a resolution of 2176×1812 pixels, but otherwise the screen specifications are the same. The outer display has a 6.3″ diagonal with a 2376x968p resolution, while the Fold5 includes a 6.2″ outer screen with a resolution of 2316×904 pixels.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is reportedly equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, while the previous model came with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. A maximum clock speed of 3.39GHz is mentioned. The device measures approximately 132.6×153.5×5.6mm when unfolded and weighs 239 grams. This makes the device 2.7mm wider, but 1.4mm lower, 0.6mm thinner and 14 grams lighter than the current Fold.

The 4400mAh battery and all camera specifications remain unchanged compared to its predecessor. This also applies to the 12GB of memory and the storage options of 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. According to Smartprix, all variants of the foldable will be $100 more expensive than the Fold5. The cheapest variant would cost $1,900 in the US. An earlier rumor mentioned that in addition to a regular variant, an Ultra model of the phone will also appear, but this is not mentioned in the Smartprix piece.

In addition to the specifications, photos of an alleged prototype of the foldable smartphone have also appeared. The images that leaker Ice Universe shares, confirming the design changes that were previously apparent from leaked renders. This gives the device completely flat sides, just like the Samsung Galaxy S24 series. On the back of the device is a camera system with three sensors, with a flash on the right. The selfie camera is located in a punch-hole in the screen. The foldable may be unveiled on July 10 during Samsung's Unpacked event.
