After some hints had already appeared online, Alien: Blackout has now been officially announced. The game stars Amanda Ripley and will be released later this year for Android and iOS. Amanda Ripley will play a role in more expressions.

On the site of publisher D3 Go! is the announcement of Alien: Blackout, a mobile game in which the player takes on the role of Amanda Ripley. Amanda is the daughter of Ellen Ripley, the character played by Sigourney Weaver in the first Alien movies. Amanda Ripley previously starred in Alien: Isolation, the 2014 game.

As Amanda Ripley, the player is responsible for the crew of a spaceship belonging to the Weyland-Yutani Corporation. Of course, there is a Xenomorph on board the ship and Ripley must get the ship’s crew to safety, using a holographic map and a motion sensor. It seems that choices that the player makes along the way affect the course of the story and the game can be played several times.

In recent days appeared on the official Twitter account of the Alien franchise al two messages who anticipated the announcement of Alien: Blackout. The game is made by FoxNext Games and the Finnish Rival Games. Blackout shouldn’t be the only product around Amanda Ripley. The hints distributed via Twitter refer to Read, Play, Watch. This should become more clear in the course of the month.
