Alan Wake II DLC Night Springs will be released on June 8
Remedy showed the first images of Alan Wake II expansion Night Springs during Summer Game Fest. The developer also announced through creative director Sam Lake that the content will be available from Saturday, June 8.
The Night Springs expansion pack is still about writer Alan Wake, but the three episodes in the DLC pack each have a different playable main character. This includes The Actor, who is based on the character Tim Breaker, The Waitress, based on Rose Marigold from Deer Diner and The Sibling. The latter is probably the most popular, because she is based on Jesse Faden, the leading actress from Control. That is also a Remedy game, set in the same universe as the Alan Wake stories.
Night Springs will be available from Saturday, June 8, later today. The package is part of the Alan Wake II Expansion Pack, which also includes The Lake House expansion, which will be released in October. Gamers with the digital Deluxe Version do not have to pay extra for the DLC.
In addition to the arrival of the first DLC pack for Alan Wake II, Remedy also announced that there will be a physical edition of Alan Wake. Until now, the game was only available for purchase digitally, because Remedy first wanted to focus on delivering the best possible game before paying attention to the contents of a physical edition. Remedy will release a physical Deluxe Edition later this year for $80 and a physical Collectors Edition for $200. No price in euros is yet known for the more expensive edition.
