Age of Empires: THE Return of Rome releases next month

The Age of Empires: Definitive Edition DLC Return of Rome will be released next month. The developer has announced this. The DLC was announced in October last year. Rise of Rome was an expansion pack for Age of Empires 1, which is part of AoE2.

It has been clear for some time that the DLC will be released sometime in the spring or summer, but… the developer has now confirmed the May 16 date. The DLC was announced on October 25 last year, the 25th anniversary of the franchise. Then there were more announcements surrounding the game.

There are few other details about what the expansion pack will offer. The name and image suggest a link to Rise of Rome, which is included in Age of Empires 1. This DLC is for the Definitive Edition of Age of Empires 2.
