Age of Empires I, II and III Definitive Editions Coming to Steam

The Definitive Editions of Age of Empires Parts 1, 2 and 3 are coming to Steam. The game can also be played cross-platform between the Microsoft Store and Steam. It is not yet known when the game will be released, although the developer does indicate that more information will follow shortly.

The Age of Empires Definitive Editions are updated versions of the original. HD remakes of the game have also been released before. The improvements between the HD remake and Definitive Edition include a better soundtrack, better graphics, and minor gameplay tweaks. Earlier, information about a Definitive Edition of Age of Empires II already leaked.

The updated editions, some of which were released last year, are all coming to Steam on a date to be announced shortly. The game series supports cross play. That means players can play the game together through both the Microsoft Store and Steam.
