Adobe adds Content Aware Fill to video program After Effects
Adobe has added Content Aware Fill, a technique to make the software fill a deleted section based on surrounding information, to After Effects. Until now, that feature was only available in the software maker’s photo programs.
If users choose Content Aware Fill on a deleted part of the image, the software will analyze the entire frame to suggest the best fill, says Adobe. That content is preserved from frame to frame, so that users can remove objects and people from videos, says the software maker.
Adobe had already previewed Content Aware Fill for After Effects, but the feature is now ready for the general public. The feature is in the Spring Update for Adobe Creative Cloud customers. It also includes several new features for other programs, including a Freeform panel for creating your own layout in Premiere Pro and adding titles with rulers in the video program. The spring update is version number 16.1 and is now available for download for customers with a Creative Cloud subscription from Adobe.
