Activision Reduces File Size of Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare
Activision has reduced the installation size of Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare. After installing a major update that will appear on Tuesday, the games together should take up more than 30GB less space.
In a blog, the developer writes that the installation size for the two games has been optimized on all platforms. For this, players must first download a major update of more than 50GB, but after applying it, the final installation size of the games is reduced. A separate installation of Warzone is at least 10GB and with a combined installation of Warzone and Modern Warfare, that is more than 30GB.
Reducing the install size of the games is part of the Season Two Reloaded update that goes live on Tuesday. In addition to the optimization, the update also contains new content such as weapons and multiplayer maps. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is also getting the Season Two Reloaded update. There is no install size reduction for this game.

Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare took up more and more storage space after release. If players installed both Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare, the file size went over 250GB. This meant that on consoles with a storage capacity of 500GB, game modes had to be removed for major updates to be able to update the game.
