Activision Confirms Prototype Release Date
Activision Blizzard has confirmed that the Prototype game will be shipped to European stores on June 5. The game, which has been delayed several times, is coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
Prototype, a project of development studio Radical Entertainment, was postponed a few times, but now it is known become that the game will ship to European stores on June 5 and to stores in America on June 9. This probably means that the game will go on sale from June 12. The game will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
Prototype was announced in 2007 and since then publisher Activision has sporadically released details about the game. The game takes place in an open world and tells the story of Alex Mercer. He has been provided with superpowers through genetic manipulation, for example, he can change shape by ‘absorbing’ the identity of his victims. Alex must survive in a web of conspiracy theories and tries to uncover the truth. Prototype will appear at about the same time as ‘competitor’ Infamous. This somewhat similar game from Sucker Punch Productions will be released exclusively for the PS3.
