Action strategy game Minecraft Legends will be released in 2023
Mojang Studios comes with a new Minecraft spin-off. Minecraft Legends will be an “action strategy game” set on a mysterious land that is “on the brink of destruction”. The game will be released next year for consoles and PCs.
Minecraft Legends is set in “a familiar yet mysterious land, full of diverse life, lush biomes and rich resources,” according to the developer. “But this paradise is on the brink of collapse,” the studio writes.
Players team up to unite the Minecraft overworld against the hostile piglins, who threaten to destroy the land. The trailer shows a player riding a horse, building a castle and taking on a host of enemies. The game takes place in a third-person perspective.
The game will be released sometime in 2023, Mojang announced during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. A concrete release date has not been announced, but Microsoft stated that all titles shown during the presentation are planned for ‘the next twelve months’.
The game will be released for Xbox and PlayStation consoles, the Nintendo Switch, and Windows PCs. The game will come to the Game Pass subscription right upon release.
