Action RPG Genshin Impact gets update for 60fps on PlayStation 5

Chinese company miHoYo, the developer of the popular free-to-play action RPG Genshin Impact, has released an update that makes the game playable at 60fps for PlayStation 5 owners.

Developer miHoYo has released version 1.1 of Genshin Impact, bringing the 60fps capability on the PS5. This new version of the game also means the introduction of four new characters, new story content, new weapons and the introduction of a reputation system.

Genshin Impact came out at the end of September for the PlayStation 4, Windows, Android and iOS. A version for the Nintendo Switch is also being worked on. It’s an open world RPG. Due to its graphic style with the use of cel shaded graphics, Genshin Impact is often compared to Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

In the first two weeks, the free-to-play game already raised $ 100 million. According to Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad, the action RPG was especially popular in China, Japan, South Korea and the United States. The earnings model consists of making in-game purchases, which allow players to acquire better fighters and equipment. The odds of winning certain items are displayed.
