That Capcom is working on Dragon’s Dogma II was revealed at the end of a video covering ten years of Dragon’s Dogma by the game’s producer, Hideaki Itsuno. He has not yet announced a release date.

Dragon’s Dogma is an action RPG with hack ‘n slash and fantasy elements that was received positively when released in 2012 mainly in Japan, but also abroad. In 2013, the expansion Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen was released, which was also released for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2017, and for the Nintendo Switch in 2019.

Already in 2013, Itsuno announced that it was interested in making a sequel, but an announcement was not made for a long time. The Capcom veteran apologizes to fans for having to wait so long.
