Action platformer Balan Wonderworld from Sonic makers gets a demo next week
A free demo of Balan Wonderworld will be released on January 28 for consoles and PC. The action platformer demo contains approximately two hours of gameplay. The full game will be released on March 26 for Xbox and PlayStation consoles, the Nintendo Switch, and on Steam.
The demo has a single player and local co-op mode. In the latter, players are the characters Leo and Emma and must work together to traverse the levels. Balan Wonderworld is a platform game where the costumes of players have all kinds of skills. These are needed to collect Balan Statues, which can be used to access hidden Balan’s Bout minigames. The demo shows three of the twelve worlds that Balan Wonderwold gets to see.
The Balan Wonderwold demo will be available for download on consoles from midnight on Thursday, January 28. The Steam version will follow at 5 p.m. Square Enix announced the game in July of last year. The 3D action platformer is created by Yuji Naka and Naoto Ohshima, among others, two of the creators of the first Sonic the Hedgehog game in 1993.
