Acer Showcases Predator Triton 900 Gaming Laptop With Screen Tilt Mechanism
Acer shows a Predator gaming laptop with a tilting screen at the IFA fair. It is not a 360-degree hinge, but a mechanism with which the screen can be placed in different positions. There is no information about availability yet.
The tilting mechanism of the screen of the Predator Triton 900 resembles that of the Aspire R14, a model that Acer presented in 2014. The mechanism makes it possible to position the screen in different positions.
Acer has not disclosed specifications of the laptop. It appears to be a 17.3″ model and a promotional video shows that it has an Intel CPU and an Nvidia GPU. The screen has a 4k resolution and it is a touchscreen.
According to Acer, the Predator Triton has a mechanical keyboard and the laptop uses a new generation of Aeroblade 3D fans. The touchpad sits to the right of the keyboard and can also be used as a numeric keypad. Whether and when Acer will release the Predator Triton 900 is not yet known.
