Acer presents smartphone with 5000mAh battery
Acer has presented the Liquid Zest Plus, an Android smartphone with a 5.5″ screen. The manufacturer has put a battery in the housing with a capacity of 5000mAh, more than almost any other smartphone.
Acer gives no indication of how long the 5000mAh battery should last, but given the hardware that could be long. The manufacturer has screwed a 5.5″ screen into the device with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. The lower resolution compared to many other smartphones could also have a beneficial effect on the battery life.
According to GSMArena, the soc is a MediaTek MT6735, a quad-core soc with four Cortex A53 cores at 1.3GHz, a Mali T720 GPU, assisted by a memory of 2GB. According to the manufacturer, the rear camera can focus in three ways: via contrast, phase detection and laser.
The device should soon go on sale in the United States for a price of 250 dollars, currently about 221 euros. It is unknown whether the device will also come to Europe and if so, when and at what price.
