Acer introduces Nitro 5 laptops for casual gamers

Acer has announced the Nitro 5, a new laptop for gamers who don’t want to spend too much money. The Taiwanese manufacturer equips the laptop with the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or the AMD Radeon RX550.

The GTX 1050 Ti combines Acer with Intel Core i5 or i7 processors of the Kaby Lake generation, the Radeon RX550 is joined by AMD FX, A12 or A10 APUs. The manufacturer provides the models with its Coolboost cooling, which users can set manually. The IPS screen has a diameter of 15.6 inches and a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels.

The maximum RAM is 32GB DDR4 2400MHz and the storage is provided by PCI-E SSDs up to 512GB, combined with HDD storage of up to 2TB. The network connection can be done wirelessly via the 802.11ac 2×2 network card. Furthermore, a USB 3.1 type-c port and USB 3.0 port are present, supplemented with a duo of USB 2.0 ports and HDMI 2.0.

Acer will introduce the Nitro 5 in Europe in August, for a starting price of 1099 euros.
