Acer Introduces Chromebooks With Numeric Keypad

Acer announced two new Chromebooks for the business market on Thursday. The Chromebook 715 has a 15.6″ screen and includes a backlit keyboard with a numeric island. There will also be a 714 variant with a 14″ screen.

There aren’t many Chromebooks with a numeric keypad. Acer supplies certain models of the Chromebook 715 with a touchscreen. The laptop is 17.9 mm thick and weighs 1.8 kilograms. The Chromebook 714 has a 14-inch screen and is slightly thinner and lighter at 17.7 mm and 1.5 kilograms.

Both models have a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and an aluminum housing. Acer supplies them with 8GB and 16GB ram and 32GB, 64GB or 128GB emmc storage. The choice of processors is from the Pentium Gold 4417U, Celeron 3867U, Core i3-8130U and Core i5-8250U. On both sides of the laptops there is a USB-C port of the 3.1 gen 1 generation. In addition, there is a USB 3.0 port and micro SD card reader.

The Chromebook 715 and 714 will both be released in June and will cost from 550 euros.
