Acer introduces 14″ laptop and all-in-one PC with built-in battery
Acer introduced its new Windows 10 devices at an event in Taipei. The Taiwanese manufacturer comes with a 14″ laptop and a 17.3″ all-in-one, which can also be used mobile thanks to a built-in battery.
The Acer Aspire R 14 is a 14″ laptop whose screen can be rotated 360 degrees, so that the device can also be used as a tablet. It is an upgrade of the model of the same name introduced earlier this year. Acer is now equipping the convertible with Intel Skylake processors, up to 8GB ddr3l and an ssd. Exact configurations are not yet known at the time of writing. The device has a thickness of 18.5 mm and a weight of 1.9 kg according to Acer. The Aspire R 14 will be launched at the end of October. the stores expected for a suggested retail price from 799 euros.
Furthermore, Acer has shown the Aspire Z3-700. This all-in-one PC has a 17.3″ touchscreen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The device has a built-in battery, which according to Acer is good for five hours of work. This allows the Z3-700, which is approximately Weighs 2 kg, can also be used as a tablet. The PhD student contains an Intel Pentium or Celeron processor, a maximum of 8 GB of ram and a choice of a HDD or SDD. Acer also supplies a stylus. From the end of 2015 the Aspire Z3-700 will be available buy for a suggested retail price from 599 euros.
Since the introduction of the Lumia 950, 950 XL, Surface Book, and Surface Pro 4, many other manufacturers in partnership with Microsoft have showcased new Windows 10 hardware. The introduction of Acer follows presentations from HP, Dell and Asus. Additional Toshiba and Lenovo events are scheduled for October 13 and 19.
