Acer gives the 1,100 euro Swift Go laptop a 3200×2000 OLED screen at 120Hz

Acer will present new laptops in the Aspire and Swift series during CES. The most notable models are the Swift Go 14 and Swift Go 16, both of which have OLED screens. The cheaper Aspire laptops receive updates with new processors and slightly higher screen resolutions.

The new Swift Go laptops will be available with screen diagonals of 14 and 16 inches and are characterized by the presence of an OLED screen. The 14″ Swift Go has an aluminum housing and weighs 1.3 kilograms. It is striking that this laptop, which costs 1000 euros, is equipped with an OLED screen with a resolution of 2880×1800 pixels and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The Go 14 will be equipped with a Thirteenth generation Intel H processor, with a TDP of 45W. It is not yet known which exact configurations Acer will supply from April.

Acer Swift Go 14 (above) and Go 16

The Swift Go 16 has a 16″ OLED screen, with a resolution of 3200×2000 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Like its smaller brother, the Go 16 has an aluminum casing and an H processor from Intel’s thirteenth generation. The edges on the According to Acer, the sides of the screen are only 4.2 millimeters wide and the entire laptop weighs 1.64 kilograms. Just like with the Swift Go 14, there is a maximum of 16GB of memory and an SSD of up to 2TB. The exact configurations that Acer has in the Benelux deliveries are not yet known. Acer Swift

The 14″ Swift Swift X has been equipped with a larger fan, but also with a larger battery. The screen on the Swift X will be available in the second quarter of 2023 for at least 1,500 euros.

Acer Swift 14

Finally, the Acer Swift 14, without suffix, has also been upgraded with Intel’s thirteenth generation H processors. This laptop weighs 1.2 kilograms and has a blue or green aluminum casing. It is striking that this laptop has a webcam with a particularly high resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. The Swift 14 is optionally equipped with a touchscreen and you can choose from panels with resolutions of 1920×1200 or 2560×1600 pixels. The Swift 14 will be available in the second quarter of 2023 from 1,700 euros.

Aspire 3 and 5

Acer provides its ‘average’ laptops in the Aspire line, just like the Swifts, with new hardware and new screens. The 15″ Aspire 5 will also be equipped with thirteenth generation Intel processors. Acer does not make it clear which TDP class these processors fall within. Furthermore, an RTX 2050 video card is optional and the Aspire 5 laptops will have a maximum of 32GB. memory and up to 1TB storage are provided. The 15″ models of the Aspire 5 will have a screen resolution of up to 2560×1440 pixels, while the 14″ models will have a 16:10 screen with a resolution of up to 1920×1200 pixels. The Aspire 5 will be equipped with a webcam with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The 14″ and 15″ versions of the Aspire will cost 850 euros for the cheapest version and will appear on the market in the second quarter. Acer will also launch a 17″ version will be sold, at an as yet unknown price.

Acer Aspire 3 15″ and 17″

The slightly cheaper Aspire 3 series will be available with 14″, 15″ and 17″ screens, with unknown resolutions. These laptops will be equipped with the Core i3-N processors, which Intel recently introduced. These chips have eight E-cores, but no fast P-cores, like more expensive Intel processors. The laptops are also equipped with Wi-Fi 6E and HDMI 2.1 outputs. The 14″ version of the Aspire 3 will be available in the second quarter become available from 500 euros.
